Gaming is cheap... I little after launch most games can be picked up for £20. I've just bought myself L.A Noire complete edition for £14.86 new.
When I was younger and games came on carts they were a lot more expensive and only dropped in price if 2nd hand. The only cheap console I had was an Amstrad CPC 464, and I wouldn't want to go back to those cassette tape loading times ;)
That's half the reason I have yet to buy one. If I do, I will end up being anti sociable all the time :)

I have played it since it came out.. on about 500 g's hehe
signing in and out a 2nd player is what gets on my wick. I should be able to just plug switch on controller 2 and press start.
A bit late the the party! 7/10 is just though.
This game was a lot better than I thought. Everything looks brown and samey, but the gameplay is fun if you just fancy letting your hair down.
The multiplayer has a loadout style to it with awesome customisation to how you avatar looks. It would be great if it had more than 5 brown maps and a less lag as the fundamental mechanics are balanced (I ended up playing until top rank anyway).

in 45 hours you have barely cracked the surface ;) I am 115 hours now, still haven't started the dawnguard expansion yet!
I think you may be blowing things a little out of proportion. I would direct your anger towards war fighters, or street fighter... as there are far more samey games in those genres. Leave my zombie games alone.

They did look very different. I'd be interested to see where they go with it, but I think as a fan of he original you may feel a little disappointed.
Same for me taquito, I just took mine back to the stores I purchased from and kicked off there. 3 times I did it, 3 times I got a replacement console at no extra cost at that very moment... and that was before the 3 year grace.
I just found myself innovativly facing walls from point blank distances :/
